Course Content
P3® and P3e/c® Basic Training
Getting started with P3® and P3e/c® through hands-on, basic training. Participants will gain a thorough background in the concepts of planning and scheduling while learning P3® and P3e/c®. Our combination of lectures and customized workshops incorporating your project data makes for a value-added training session. The course work includes creating and tracking an entire project through completion, using the three basic elements of project management: schedule, resources, and costs. Scheduling techniques will be covered. Typically the course is approximately 24 hours, or 3 days.
Phase One:
Beginning with the Fundamentals of Project Management, the course then moves into Defining Calendars, Establishing the Project & Coding Structures, and Adding and Organizing Activities. These topics are covered in detail since they provide the foundation for the logic and topics that follow in the next phases.
Phase Two:
The really crucial substance of this course is here in Phase Two: Scheduling, Relationships, Applying Constraints to a Schedule, and Customizing the Layout. These topics are the most crucial because they can severely improve or impair the progress of any project plan and budget.
Phase Three:
Phase Three builds further and covers: Updating the Current Schedule, Creating the Target Plan, Managing Resources & Costs, and Producing Effective Output. Once this is complete, the participants have a solid foundation in best practices for scheduling and maintaining the progress of major projects.
